Mother Tree Sanctuary is partnering with foster care activist, Junely Merwin, Merwin Jay Act to raise funds to support teen parents in foster care. Junely entered the foster care system at the age of 15 with her one month old son and understands first hand the desperate need to offer support. This population has been hit the hardest during the pandemic.

Teen parents in foster care lack of support systems, resources, and parenting skills. Being a parent in itself is challenging enough, imagine being a teen parent in foster care with no family support. We believe it is our collective responsibility to ensure foster youth have the critical items necessary to provide a healthy and safe future for their children.
